With a strong foundation in both public and private sector leadership, Wayman Britt brings a disciplined, results-driven approach to Wayman Britt Enterprises (WBE) — focused on strengthening accountability, improving workforce performance, and driving measurable outcomes across government and organizational settings.


Wayman served as County Administrator/Controller for Kent County, Michigan, where he was appointed in 2017 and served as the chief administrative officer responsible for overseeing county operations and advancing organizational performance. During his tenure, he led the redesign of the County’s performance measurement program, establishing the Performance Excellence System and the Excellence in Action program — a first for county governments in Michigan. Both initiatives were recognized by the Michigan Association of Counties and the Michigan Local Government Benchmarking Consortium as best practices, demonstrating measurable improvements in performance management. Upon his retirement in July 2021, he received numerous recognitions and acknowledgements for his service to Kent County.


His experience leading at the highest levels of county government gives WBE a deep understanding of the operational, cultural, and accountability challenges faced by public sector organizations. His leadership approach emphasizes clear expectations, performance alignment, and consistent execution — all critical factors in improving service delivery and organizational effectiveness.
 

Prior to his public sector role, Wayman held management positions at Steelcase, Inc. and Michigan National Bank, bringing private sector operational rigor and practical leadership strategies to WBE’s work. This combined perspective enables WBE to deliver solutions that are both structured and adaptable to real-world conditions. WBE’s services include performance management, leadership development, team building, coaching, and conflict resolution — all designed to strengthen leadership capability and improve workforce effectiveness.
